Netflix Unveils Taiwanese Cinematic Extravaganza

The second half of December is a great time to be a fan of Taiwanese cinema, as Netflix is set to release four critically acclaimed Taiwanese films. These films explore a variety of genres, from chilling horror to heartwarming comedy and gripping crime drama, showcasing the diverse storytelling prowess of Taiwan's film industry.

The Rope Curse 3

Premiere date: December 18. The Rope Curse 3 is an exorcism horror movie deeply rooted in Taiwanese folk culture and continues the story from its predecessor, The Rope Curse 2. The film follows Guan Yu, a talented young man from a family of exorcists, who gets caught up in a series of spooky events at an eerie hotel. The Rope Curse 3 has already made waves in Taiwan, earning nearly NTD 81 million (USD 2.6 million) at the box office and securing the No. 2 spot in the local box office rankings for 2023.

This film is a remake of a 2010 Korean film of the same name and was crafted by the same creative team behind More Than Blue: The Series.
